Sapphire’s photosynthetic algae and resultant Green Crude displaces petroleum-based crude drop for drop, making it the only scalable, low-carbon, drop-in solution to our nation’s dependence on foreign oil. Proper incentives should thus be given to algae-based fuel producers for developing domestic, renewable, above-ground oil fields in the form of algae ponds.
